The Password Protected WordPress plugin introduces the Password Attempt Activity Report. This feature lets you get weekly email reports on how many times the password was entered correctly or incorrectly on your protected sites or content.

You can see the total number of password attempts, successful and failed attempts, as well as the details of visitors who tried to access your password-protected sites or content.

How to Enable Password Attempt Activity Report:


To use this feature, you need to follow these steps:

  • Go to the Logs tab of the plugin settings and navigate to the Activity Report sub-tab.
  • Enable or disable the Password Attempt Tracking Report toggle button according to your preference. 
  • Save the changes.

You will receive weekly emails from the Password Protected plugin showing you the password attempt activity report. You can use this information to monitor and improve your site’s or content’s security.

Disable Password Attempt Activity Report:

You can easily opt out of receiving the weekly Password Attempt Activity Reports by toggling the “Password attempt tracking report” button in the Activity Report Tab.

Report Insights for Password Protected Lite:

The weekly email lite report will contain the following details:

  1. Total Access Attempts: The overall number of attempts made to access protected content during the week.
  1. Successful Attempts: The number of successful password entries.
  1. Failed Attempts: The count of unsuccessful attempts.

Report Insights for Password Protected Pro:

The weekly email lite report will contain the following details:

  1. Total Access Attempts: The overall number of attempts made to access protected content during the week.
  2. Successful Attempts: The number of successful password entries.
  3. Failed Attempts: The count of unsuccessful attempts.
  4. Top Browser: The browser most of your users use to access your site.
  5. Recent Activity Logs: The recent access attempt activity log provides details on user login attempts, including IP address, attempt status, and browser information.
