Bypass Password Protection with a Specific URL

The Password Protected WordPress Plugin Pro has a feature that lets you bypass password protection for specific URLs on your website. 

You can do this by adding the Bypass key to the URL. The bypass key will be the password you have already set for password protection. This feature is useful for giving selective access to certain content without removing the password protection for your entire site.

How to Access The Bypass Protection for Specific URLs Feature:

You need the Password Protected WordPress Plugin Pro version to unlock this functionality. If you have installed and activated Password Protected Pro Plugin in your WordPress site, follow these steps:

• Go to the WordPress admin dashboard.

• Click on the Password Protected plugin.

• Navigate to the “Bypass URL” sub-tab after clicking the “Advanced” tab from the top navigation tabs .

How to Bypass Password Protection for Specific URLs:

In the Bypass URL tab, you can see the three-step process to bypass password protection for specific URLs:

Enable Bypass URL: 

Check this box to enable the Bypass feature. This will allow you to bypass password protection by adding a query string to the URL.

Note: If you leave this field blank, it will disable that feature.

Set Bypass Key: 

Enter the password you set for the password protection to use as the bypass key and click “Copy to Clipboard” to copy and share that bypass url for specific access.

For example: If your protection password is “bypass!123”, enter “bypass!123” as your bypass key. You can access any URL of your site without a password by adding a bypass key at the end of this specific URL.

Redirect to: 

Choose the page you want users to be redirected to when accessing a Bypass URL. This will let you control where users go after they bypass password protection.

Note : If you leave this field blank, the user will be redirected to your site’s Home Page by default.
