Password Bypass Permissions

The Password Protected WordPress Plugin allows you to secure your WordPress site or specific pages with a password. Only users who know the password can access your site or pages. This plugin is a great way to create a private site or restrict access to certain content.

However, you may want to allow some users or features to access your site or pages without entering a password, which can be useful for managing your site, providing content to your subscribers, or integrating with other applications.

The Password Protected WordPress Plugin has a Password Bypass Permission feature, which you can enable from the General Settings tab.

Password Bypass Permissions:

This feature allows you to grant access to specific users without requiring a password, such as administrators, logged-in users, RSS feeds, or Rest API.

Protected Permission Section:

This section lets you control who can access your protected content without entering a password. You can grant specific users or user groups permission based on the following criteria.

Allow Administrators:

This option gives administrators unrestricted access to your site’s content. Administrators are the users who have the highest level of authority on your site. By enabling this option, you can ensure that administrators can manage your site without any obstacles.

Allow Logged-in Users:

This option gives logged-in users access to your site’s content. Logged-in users are the users who have registered and signed in on your site. By enabling this option, you can provide a smooth experience for your registered users, allowing them to access your site without extra authentication steps.

Allow RSS Feeds:

This option allows users to access your site’s RSS feeds without entering a password. RSS feeds are web feeds that provide updates on your site’s content. By enabling this option, you can make your content easily available to your audience through syndication.

Allow REST API Access:

This option allows access to your site’s REST API without entering a password. REST API is an application programming interface that enables communication between your site and other applications and services. You can seamlessly integrate your site with other applications and services by enabling this option.

That’s it! Now, you have enabled password protection for your site and configured the Password Free Permission feature to allow some users or features to access your site without a password.
