With the Partial Content Protection feature in the Password Protect WordPress Plugin, you can easily secure specific sections or parts of your content without restricting the entire page. Whether it’s a paragraph, an image, or a custom block, this feature allows you to protect individual content elements and ensure they’re only accessible to users with the correct password.

Multiple Form Builder Support

The Partial Content Protection feature seamlessly integrates with popular form and page builders, including:

  • Gutenberg Block Support: Easily protect content within the Gutenberg block editor using simple shortcodes
  • Beaver Block Support: Use the shortcode element within Beaver Builder to safeguard specific sections.
  • Elementor Block Support: Integrate with Elementor to protect sections within custom layouts.

Want to see it in action? You can explore live demos of each builder at the end of this page.

This flexibility allows you to maintain a smooth and consistent user experience across various page builder platforms while securing the content you want to protect.

How to Partial Protect the Content using Shortcode

Go to the WordPress admin dashboard. Click on the “Password Protected” plugin from the side menu.

Further navigate to the content protection tab.

Within the Content Protection section, click on the Partial Content Protection sub-tab to activate the feature.

The Partial Content Protection feature is now enabled.

Head to the Manage Passwords section and click Manage Passwords for direct access.

Note: Partial Content Protection does not support the Bypass URL option.

In the Multiple Passwords section, click Add New Password and fill in the required fields, such as title, password, usage limit, expiry, and status.

Note: Bypass URL and redirect to functionalities not worked with this feature.

Once the password is created, a shortcode will be generated. Copy this shortcode to partially protect the content.

Go to the page you want to protect and click Edit.

In the page editor, add the shortcode at the beginning of the protected content: [password_protected id=”1″], and close it with [/password_protected] at the end.

After adding the shortcode, click Save to apply the changes to your page.

To access the page, you will need to enter the password created for that specific content section to unlock it.
